The biggest update yet...
Okay, guys, it's been a while. I know I'm sorry for going off the radar. I just wanted to really focus on getting what I could do done with this amazing game and amazing idea's that keep flowing through me. I'm proud to say that COVID Royal is moving along nicely, we actually have a working circle now and we have one weapon properly working (Albeit without recoil, yet)
I've been working on a bit of a side project that I feel like now should get some light, I was originally intending to add this as a "Multiplayer" mode to Triple Tap, but I have since decided that Triple Tap isn't really the direction that I want to take going forward, so I will instead focus on making this project its own game, I haven't thought of a name yet, although I will really be looking for one! (For the rest of this devlog we'll refer to it as "Takeover" As this has been my in-house name for it)
Takeover was originally inspired by a game I play a lot (Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege) now obviously I couldn't just go straight and clone it, because that would be wrong and it would make for a horrible game. So I went to the drawing board and just scribbled and scribbled until I somehow managed to have an almost fully working game that is more like Call of Duty and Siege's child than a 99p Siege clone you see on the Apple App Store.
I feel like Takeover is a bit over and beyond what I ever intended it to be and that's why I feel like making it its own thing, rather than have it be a tie-in to a meme game I made in a rubbish engine whilst I was bored during lockdown. But speaking of Triple Tap I have a huge announcement to make regarding it.
Triple Tap is no more...
Yes, you read that right. I have stopped any and all development on Triple Tap. I may do one last update to wrap up the story if I feel like it's needed, but quite frankly I just feel like Triple Tap isn't where I want to go with my development and that it's best left in the past.
I will be keeping it here on Itch.io and I may include it as an easter egg in my other games somewhere, it's not completely dead or anything. I just wish to focus more of my resources on bigger projects like Takeover and COVID Royal.
So I'm going to sum up a few things and hope this all makes sense:
1. Triple Tap development has stopped for the foreseeable future so that I can work on the other projects I am working on
2. What was going to be multiplayer for Triple Tap became so advanced that I'm making it its own game rather than an add-on. (Full feature list as of right now will be included at the bottom)
3. COVID Royal development has been slow but with good progress.
4. I'm looking for people to help me get the dectregames website up and running, it's only a WordPress site but we need admins and people to help pick good plugins, themes etc. If you are or know anyone who could do this for a small price then please email myself at dekki@dectregames.uk
5. I love each and every person who has supported me good or bad with my travels into game development and I hope that you guys can get to see the amazing projects I've been working on in some good light soon!
